It keeps the ingredients, the steps and the times, then throws out everything else. The childhood story about grandma’s kitchen, the newsletter popup, the four ad blocks between step two and step three. What’s left is a card you can cook from.
Most of them. Nearly every food site already publishes its recipe in a machine-readable format so search engines can show it, and SnipDish reads that first. When a page doesn’t have it, we read the page itself instead.
It happens on badly built pages. Every card keeps a link back to the original, so you’re one tap from checking it. If something looks off, tell us which link did it and we’ll fix the handling for that site.
Because that one costs real money to run. Pasting a link is cheap on our end, but a SmartFind search goes out to the live web, reads the top results and compares them before it hands you anything. Two a week is what keeps the whole plan free for everybody instead of expensive for a few. The count resets every Monday.
