Welcome to SnipDish! These terms govern your use of our recipe cleaning and search service. By using SnipDish, you agree to these terms.

What SnipDish Does

SnipDish is a service that:

  • Cleans recipe pages by removing ads, pop-ups, and unnecessary content
  • Searches the web to find and recommend the best recipes (SmartFind)
  • Stores your saved recipes for easy access
  • Provides a distraction-free cooking experience (Cook Mode)

Your Account

To use SnipDish, you need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when signing up
  • Keep your account secure and not share access
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account

We use passwordless authentication (magic links) or Google Sign-In for security. You must be at least 13 years old to use SnipDish.

Free Tier

  • Unlimited URL cleaning
  • 2 SmartFind searches per week
  • Save up to 5 recipes

Pro Tier ($3.99/month)

  • Everything in Free
  • Unlimited SmartFind searches
  • Unlimited saved recipes
  • Cook Mode with timers
  • Scan recipes from photos
  • Offline access to saved recipes

We reserve the right to adjust limits and pricing with 30 days notice.

Payments & Cancellation

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
  • You can cancel anytime — access continues until the end of your billing period
  • No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use SnipDish for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Scrape or bulk-download content from our service
  • Reverse engineer or copy our technology
  • Use automated tools to abuse our API or services
  • Resell or redistribute SnipDish's services

Violation may result in account suspension or termination.

Content & Copyright

Your Content

Recipes you save remain yours. We don't claim ownership of your collections, notes, or any content you create.

Recipe Sources

SnipDish fetches and reformats recipes from third-party websites for your personal use. We:

  • Don't host or republish original recipe content
  • Link back to original sources when available
  • Respect robots.txt and site restrictions
  • Remove content upon valid copyright claims

Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance (usually during off-peak hours)
  • Experience occasional outages beyond our control
  • Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice

We're not liable for losses due to service interruptions.

Limitation of Liability

SnipDish is provided "as is." We're not responsible for:

  • Accuracy of recipe information (always verify food safety!)
  • Allergies or dietary issues — check ingredients yourself
  • Third-party website availability or content
  • Data loss beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may terminate accounts that:

  • Violate these terms
  • Engage in abusive behavior
  • Remain inactive for 24+ months (with notice)

Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your State].
